Hi, and thanks for finding your way here.

If you’re wondering what this site is, the honest answer is: it’s the one room where all the things I do get to sit together.

I’m a nurse. I work in behavioral health, and I’m training to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. That work shapes a lot of how I see the world — mental health, the healthcare system from the inside, what it actually feels like to care for people on some of the hardest days of their lives. A good chunk of what I write here grows out of that vantage point.

But I’ve never been just one thing. I draw. I write about more than medicine — about queer American life, about the news and legislation shaping it, about whatever I happen to be turning over lately. And I build small tools to solve problems I kept running into myself, like *ShiftWork Tempo*, a planner for people whose schedules don’t fit a normal calendar.

For a long time, those pieces of me lived in different places, scattered across different corners of the internet. This site is my attempt to stop scattering — to put the writing, the art, and the tools under one roof, where they can finally talk to each other. If you came for an essay and leave having found a drawing, or a tool you didn’t know you needed, that’s not a detour. That’s the whole point.

The name — *Things I Find Interesting* — is the entire organizing principle, such as it is. I’m not here to be an authority on everything. I’m a curious person paying attention and thinking out loud, and what I’d really love is for you to think alongside me.

Fair warning: the place is still under construction. I’m rebuilding it from the ground up, so things will shift, get rearranged, and occasionally look half-finished while I figure them out. Bear with me. All the earlier posts are still here, waiting for you in the menu above.

Mostly, though, I’m just glad you stopped by. Look around. If something resonates, stay a while — and if it really lands, there’s a way to support the work down at the bottom of the page. Either way: welcome. I’m happy you’re here.
